Welcome to Storygami Unfolded, here where it’s all about the story. I’m James and I love stories. Here at Storygami Unfolded is a place for story lovers, writers, directors, actors, and everyone else who wants to read my blogs and discuss anything and everything about stories.

By stories, I mean films, TV shows, books, plays, videogames, fan fiction, and any content that involves a character and a journey. Even old folk tales and other lore, canon or not.

If you’re as passionate about stories as I am, then you know the satisfaction of going on a journey through a character from the comfort of your own home with that literature and latte atmosphere that comes with it.

Or you love to feel the goosebumps that come from an epic soundtrack of yet another Hollywood blockbuster adventure on your surround sound system with the smell of fresh popcorn.

Whichever you prefer, that is the feeling I’m aiming to celebrate here with all of you. In addition to specific stories, we will also explore plot elements, characters, themes, and much more. I chose the topic of stories because I am a storyteller, which sometimes takes many forms including writing, editing, directing, acting, and even presenting.

I also chose the topic of stories because let’s face it, people like stories. We like stories because they help us make sense out of the complex ways that characters and people behave. Stories are an insightful and cathartic reflection of real life. My hope for this site is to help people feel part of a community of storytellers and to help people hone their storytelling craft.

We will do this by celebrating our passion for stories by not only discussing and exploring what makes a story work, but also what makes stories not work. I hope to build a community on this website as Storygami Unfolded’s central hub and expand to various social media platforms in time.
